Subject of the project is the development of a combined forward -and backward osmosis process and subsequently a plant for make up of 200 litre drinking water per hour.
Water ressources the drinking water will be made of can be all natural water sources like ponds, lakes, rivers or the ocean. The developed plant shall be buildt modularized (footprint of an EU-palette, modul height approx. 1,8 m) for easy transportation purpose. Each module´s gross weight shall be approx. 120 kg.
The plant is consisting, but not exclusiverly, of the parts described following:
- Precondition – and forward osmosis module By procondition is meant the particle separation of particles in the natural water supply down to a usable size and amount of particles tob e handled by the forward osmosis module. Furthermore a tempering oft he water up to a certain level to use the forward osmosis membrane effectively.
- Reverse osmosis module - Module(s) for CIP and Conservationprocesses to prolong the service life and performance level of the membranes (the development of the optimum CIP is also subject oft he R&D -Project)
The plant will be contsructed according to actual standards and equipped with industrial state-of-the-art components. The application of military standards will be considered after the successful start-up, operational performance and a possible Scale-up plant.
